Datatex participated at the ITMA exhibition in Barcelona, from the 20th to the 26th June 2019. ITMA is the greatest international exhibition of textile and apparel technology, where every four years the entire sector gathers to explore new ideas, effective solutions and new partnership in order to expand their own business. The visitors of this ITMA edition have been more or less 150000.
In particular our booth has been visited by 194 potential customers, who were very interested to Datatex services and products.
Our sales agents, always on the stand, had the chance to create new important relationships and to strengthen the old ones. Moreover, visitors could get practical demonstrations right on our booth, thanks to the introduction of textile industries’ case studies, where the most common issues and Datatex solutions have been displayed.
Preparing for the event was very intense for our team and it allowed us to answer clearly, quickly and comprehensively to our visitors’ requests, leaving aside standard sentences like “we have the best solution for everybody” and focusing on specific solutions for real problems. To be perfectly clear with our visitors, we also printed some brochures with a technical explanation of our products and services; alongside we edited our internationally known magazine with interviews made to our clients, professors and professionals from the textile world.
In order to lighten the atmosphere, we also gave some gadgets to our visitors, especially created for the ITMA and every afternoon you could visit our booth to taste some cheese Parmigiano Reggiano, and to drink a glass of wine; all typical Italian food. The visitor traffic has been less intense than previous editions, but it was steady and high – quality, also thanks to the fair arrangement where all software houses were gathered in one pavilion, separated from machinery and fabric suppliers.
By the way of conclusion, ITMA exhibition was a success for Datatex, because our salesmen could directly meet representatives of textile industries from all over the world, in an open and cooperative environment where both sides showed great interest in learning and improving their business.
